After a brief hiatus (thanks Josh Hathaway for delivering the Goodie Bag in my absence), I'm back with a full summer picnic basket full of embedded and streaming audio and video to give BC Music's readers a sneak peak at the sizzling summer fare.

This week we have some Olympic fun from Paul Brogan and new singles from Keaton Simons, Canton Jones, The Octopus Project, and Todd Rundgren.

Paul Brogan – Olympic Rap
The summer Olympics have just begun and as all eyes turn to Beijing and the sporting events happening there, ears should be tuning in to Paul Brogan and his new rap. His Super Bowl rap from January has already received a million plus hits, and this track is sure to receive similar attention. No need to go searching the net, we have embedded video for you right here in the Goodie Bag:

PAUL BROGAN - OLYMPICS

Want to hear what else Paul Brogan has to rap about? Make sure to check out his MySpace Profile.

Keaton Simons - Can You Hear Me
On June 10, CBS Records released this debut from Keaton Simons. The singer/songwriter's first attempt is wrought with jazz and blues influences and LA Times writer Scott Gold drew comparisons to the likes of Elvis Costello, Eagle-Eye Cherry, and Lenny Kravitz.

If you want to take a listen and judge for yourself, check out Simons' EPK for the album. News, information, and more sound bytes can also be found at his official website and his MySpace Profile.

Canton Jones – "Hater Day"
The new single, "Hater Day," from Canton Jone's Arrow Records release Kingdom Business is out and the Goodie Bag has a stream for you to check out.
True to from, this singer, songwriter, producer, and vocal arranger has delivered yet another track that is grabbing the attention of hip-hop and R&B fans worldwide. The first single from this album, "My Day" is already a hit, and "Hater Day" is sure to follow in its footsteps. If listening to the stream only whets your appetite for more Canton Jones, make sure to check out his MySpace profile for more streams, news, and information.

The Octopus Project - "An Evening With Rthrtha"
"An Evening With Rthrtha" is the newest release from The Octopus Projects' latest album, Hello, Avalanche. And the video (embedded below) is a second in which stop motion, hand-animation was used. Also included below is a fan video for the single "Wet Gold" that is a favorite of the band. More information on The Octopus Project can be found at their official website and also their MySpace profile. Before watching the videos, check out the included list of upcoming tour dates to see if they will be playing a town near you.
